MTI Discuss your project

Privacy policy

Privacy policy

MTI Technology follows Korea's Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws, and processes only the personal information needed to answer enquiries and carry out projects. Items under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) are in section 12.

Effective:

1. Why we process personal information

We process personal information only for these purposes. If a purpose changes, we tell you first and ask for consent where needed.

  • Answering and discussing your project enquiry
  • Carrying out the project: quotations, samples, development and production
  • Project communication and after-sales support
  • Website visit statistics (which pages are read)

2. What we collect

Information you send through the enquiry form or by email, and information created automatically when you use the website.

  • Enquiry form (required): name, company, work email, project details (everything you write)
  • Email enquiries: your email address, your message and attachments
  • Created automatically: pages visited, time of visit, device and browser information, cookies (see section 9)

3. How long we keep it

Enquiry information is kept for 3 years after the last contact and then deleted. If an enquiry becomes a contract, contract and transaction records are kept for the periods required by Korean law (such as the Commercial Act and the Framework Act on National Taxes).

4. Sharing with our Shenzhen team and transfer abroad

Our Shenzhen team prepares quotes and carries out development and production. With your consent, we share the parts of your enquiry they need with our parent company, Mintec Innovation Technology Industry Co., Ltd.. MTI Technology and Mintec Innovation are separate legal companies, so in law this is a transfer to a third party and a transfer abroad.

  • Recipient: Mintec Innovation Technology Industry Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen, China; +86-755-2359-2960; 6th Floor, Building D, Taixinglong Industrial Park, Hangcheng Street, Bao'an District, Shenzhen, China)
  • Country: China
  • Information: name, company, work email and project details, as far as needed for the quote and the project
  • Purpose: quotations, samples, development, production and shipping for your project
  • When and how: when a quote or project work needs it, our Korea team sends it by email or business messaging
  • Recipient's retention: 3 years after the last contact
  • Legal basis: your consent (the consent box on the enquiry form)
  • Refusing: you may refuse. The form cannot then be sent; if you email us instead, our Shenzhen team receives only the project details, without your name or contact details.

5. Service providers and storage abroad

We use these providers to run the website and email. Their servers are outside Korea. This storage is needed to receive enquiries and enter into contracts, and is disclosed here.

  • Wix.com Ltd. (Israel; www.wix.com/about/privacy): website, enquiry form and visit statistics. Stored on servers in Israel and in countries where Wix and its sub-processors operate
  • Google LLC (United States; policies.google.com/privacy): email (Google Workspace). Stored in Google data centres
  • Information: as in section 2. When and how: sent over encrypted connections when you submit the form or email us
  • Retention: as in section 3, or until the service contract ends
  • Refusing: you may choose not to use the form or email, but we then cannot receive your enquiry.

6. How we delete it

When the retention period ends or the purpose is met, we delete the information without delay. Electronic files are deleted so they cannot be restored; paper is shredded or burned. Information the law requires us to keep is stored separately.

7. Your rights

You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your personal information, to stop its processing, or to withdraw consent. Email contact@mtitechkorea.com; we confirm your identity and respond within the period set by law. Someone you authorise can also make the request, with a letter of authority. If you withdraw consent, we stop sharing from then on.

8. How we protect it

We take these measures to keep personal information safe.

  • Access is limited to the staff who handle enquiries
  • The website and form are sent only over encrypted connections (HTTPS)
  • Information past its retention period is deleted

9. Cookies and visit statistics

The website uses cookies provided by Wix: cookies the site needs to work, and statistics cookies (Wix Analytics) as far as you allow them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice in the banner or block cookies in your browser; you can still send an enquiry. We use no advertising cookies and no Google Analytics.

  • Privacy officer: Representative (CEO)

Transfer to China (section 4): China has a personal information protection system, including the Personal Information Protection Law (in force since 2021). Information on China's system is in the survey of foreign personal information protection systems published by Japan's Personal Information Protection Commission. Mintec Innovation uses the information it receives only to prepare quotes and carry out the project.
